Abyssal Whip- Upsides and Downsides

Yo. Excaliber was talking about his amazing Abyssal Whip and I wanted to see what it looked like. I searched it up on the Runescape wiki and I noticed it had one major drawback. I am only level 28, but I'm working hard to level and get an Abyssal Whip of my own.
The drawback is that it can't train strength exp. This is a problem for people like Excaliber848 and Gelbaterix.
What you can do, is use a replacement. The Saradomin Sword offers similar bonuses, can train Strength, but is two-handed.
The Abyssal Whip with a Rune Defender offers better bonuses than the Saradomin Sword.
I am likely going to try that sometime. Now all I need is levels and cash...
